View Source doesn't function

Running IE 6.0 SP1 128-bit on Windows XP. View source no
longer functions, whether right-clicking on the page or
going to View on the toolbar. When trying to re-install
from Microsoft's web-site, setup fails with an error
stating that the installation hasn't been approved by
Microsoft.

Brett,
First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content.) It's often recommended that the TIF
folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

If you have a shortcut to Notepad.exe on the desktop, rename it.

Some people have reported that Quick View Plus can cause this

I have been wondering the same thing. I looked this up in
the Microsoft website and I tried the following (It now
works for me).

To resolve this issue, delete all of the files in the
Temporary Internet Files folder.

To do this, follow these steps:
Start Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.
When the confirmation message appears, click OK two times.
