View of "My Computer"

Hi,

Running XP Pro, originally, when opening "My Computer" I had a nice view
starting with a list of folders for documents i.e. "My Documents", "Shared
Documents", and so on. This was followed below by a line/seperator and a
title that said something like "Local Disk Drive" where my local HDD where
displayed, then another line/seperator and title like "Removable Sorage" and
would show my diskette drive, and CD/DVD drives and finally another
line/seperator with title "Network Drives" and below my mapped network drives
were shown.

Somehow, and I have no idea how but "My Computer" is now displayed like any
other folder. Does anyone know how to get back to the original display?

Thanks,

-Ben

Try this,

Right click an open spot in the right hand pane of My Computer.
Move the mouse pointer over "Arrange Icons By".
Click "Show in Groups".

Good luck

Thanks a lot... As strange as it may seem, I tried this: In My Computer I
clicked View -> Arrange Icons By -> Show in Groups and it didn't work but
simply doing it like you described worked... Sometimes I find Windows so
weird!!!

Thanks again,

Maybe your icon view is not suitable with "Show in Groups". First of all,
click on View menu and change the icon view to Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons or
Detail. List is not suitable with Show in Groups. Now, again click on View
menu, point to Arrange Icons by - Show in Groups.

If that doesn't work then let us know what happened when you click on "Show
in Groups" and what current view you are using?

Hope this help, let us know!
