View menu causes crash

Windows XP Pro sp1: All of a sudden, whenever I click
on "view" in Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer, my
system crashes, displaying the blue screen of fate. This
hardly ever records a system error viewable through event
viewer and the blue screen does not provide any useful
information to me. Anyone ever heard of this?

Hi Brendan,

While the blue screen and event viewer error messages may not be usable to
you, they may be usable to us. Please post back with the text of the error
message and any details from the event viewer.
