When I try to open fax documents, I get the following message:
The fax document cannot be displayed because your operating system does
not have a default viewer for fax documents (.tif files)

How do I correct it?

Thanking you in advance.

To view an incoming fax, go to the Fax Console, and click Inbox.
Double-click an entry to see the fax in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
(or right-click on the fax document and select Open with >
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer).

Note: The file extention should be .tiff
If your fax document has the .tif file extension, rename it to .tiff

Carey,

Thanks for your advice. I am using the Fax on Server and am not able to open
the Fax on a Windows XP node. This happened following a re-installation of
Office XP Standard.

MSPaint.exe can open TIF files. Open Explorer, double click a TIF
file, select MS Paint and tick box to always open that file and it
should be associated with TIFs from then on.
