Videos will not play Automatically

Okay ive got a lot to explain and im hoping that someone out there knows the
answer. I have a powerpoint with various sized movie files inserted and set
to play automatically. Now, when i play the ppt it shows the video box but no
video...BUT if i play with the options on the video and turn on the Rewind
when finished feature after i click the blank video block it shows me the
first frame like it had already played and now has rewound, so when it shows
me the first frame i can click it again and the video will play!!! I can also
get the clip to play by clicking through the slide with the video then going
back and like magic the video starts up normal.

Now i dont know if this is just me but it seems like the videos are playing,
however it feels like they are playing at an incredible speed but i dont if
this is possible because why would it play super fast 1 time and then normal
when i skip it and come back... please any help is welcome =D

Went through this site and the linking site to the tutorial and i couldnt

Try moving the video and presentation to a folder with a shorter path.
(Example: C:\test)

Delete the video from the slide and reinsert it.
