Videos for portable dvd

I own a portable dvd player that is able to play picture/video cd r's and
cd r/w's. I burned some videos( .wmv) that played sucessfully on the
player. (polaroid pdv-1002a) I have now tried to burn somemore (same .wmv
format) but they will not play. The files that play on the dvd player have
an a/v next to their description. Any sugesstions as to how to get other
files to play?

Did you remember to finalise the disk(s)?

Yes I did. That is what makes this confusing. I had previously checked the
polaroid web site and finalizing was covered.
