Could anyone please tell me how to adjust the volume for the opening and
closing sound in windows XP? If I set my speaker sound so it does not break
eardrums when booting into or out of XP, no other sound are loud enough to
be heard properly. I seem to remember that I once knew where to go to set
those sounds but do not remember now.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Go to the control panel, go to the sounds amd audio
devices icon, open it, the first tab shows the master
volume control, set it to high, then check the box to
place the master volume in your system tray, you'll see a
speaker appear, double click that, you'll see an array of
volume controls including the microphone levels. after
you tweak all your sound levels on the computer, then use
the spealer volume control and set it to something
reasonabl.
