video size too big

i am a beginner with Multimedia.
i uesed Panasonic 5.0 camera, i took several short videos, used Xillsoft Mov
Converter, and finished with Window Movie Maker.
Dimension: 320*240, durantion: 3:41, size: 40.8MB, Type: mpg
i try to put on my website, but the size seems too big!
Please advice and help. Thank you all any suggestion.
 
What settings did you use in movie maker?
If you need it smaller either choose a setting which comresses the file
more, like Dial up modem instead of video for broadband.

This assumes you have chosen "The Web" in the save movie location box.
