How do i set the settings to display my screen on both
the projector and the laptop screen? I want both screens
to show the same thing.

Depends on your video driver. You can change it on the Settings tab on
Display Properties. On mine, there is a check box which says 'Extend the
desktop to this monitor'. If you select the 2nd monitor, you can uncheck
this. Then click OK.

Or it may be as simple as using one of the function buttons. My HP has (I
think it is) F4 doing that job. Press the FN button same time as F4, and
the laptop will cycle thru display to laptop LCD, to external display, and
to both.
