Video problems with AOE games

My OS is WinXP Home Edition with service pack 2, Video card is GE Force3 with
the latest driver approved by Microsoft. When I play Age of Empires or Age
of Kings the colors change. This happens when the background music changes.
I used the campatability wizard to use what the manuals say are the best
settings. I have also changed the hardware acceleration to different
settings moving it one notch at a time from full to none. I have also tried
turning off the music on the game. The only way I can get the colors right
again is to exit the games and load a saved game. Any suggestions?

Either use the web interface like you are doing now (shudder - awful) or
use a real newsreader which is way better. Here is information to help
you with that:

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you
learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows,
but you can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are
some links to information about newsgroups:

Select the address with your cursor. Go to Edit/Copy. Then paste the address
in your address bar. and click Go. This should open Outlook Express where you
will find the active Group.
