video not working

I want to insert a video. I followed instructions, but the "video" is greyed
out under "insert - picture - video". I have tried changing authoring tools
and nothing works. I can make a hyper-link to the file for others to
download, but I really want it to be done as a streaming video. Thanks in
advance!

On the site settings Compatibility tab, try setting the dropdowns to custom.

Does your host support streaming video??

My host does support streaming video. But the problem isn't uploading.
Even if I start fresh with a new web page, the video button stays grey. I
went to the sight settings as you suggested, but there is not compatibility
tab... only "General, Parameters, Advanced, Language, Navigation, and
Database". If you meant under "tools" the "browser compatibility", I have
the FrontPage and SharePoint technologies set to Complete, the browsers to
both IE and Nav. I have everything else checked and the Browser Versions to
Custom. Still... only grey.
