Video in PowerPoint 2002 is not inserting

When I try to insert a video clip into a Power Point 2002 presentation, I am
getting a message that says, "PowerPoint couldn't inser a movie from the
selected file. Either the file is non-standard, or Quicktime is not installed
propertly." What does that mean? Any suggestions on what I can do to make it
work?
 
Is it a quicktime (.mov) video? ppt and quicktime dont play nicely together!

If you have quicktime try exporting the file (as avi)
