Powerpoint 2002 problem inserting a movie

J

Juan

I have powerpoint 2002 running on XP pro. Every time I go
to insert a movie into a presentation, I get the error
message "Powerpoint couldn't insert a movie from the
selected file. Either the file is non-standard, or
Quicktime is not installed properly." The file is an
mpeg, I uninstalled quicktime, and it happens with avi's
as well. If you guys have any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks.

Juan,

Where did to movie file come from?

What software made it?

What is the 3 letter extension?

Any more questions?

Cheers

I have the same problem on my computer as well. I was
trying to do the same thing, and powerpoint doesn't
support quicktime or anything else. It supports a windows
media file, but how do you turn a quicktime file into a
windows media file? It doesn't open into windows media, so
that doesn't seem to be an option. I'm not sure what to
do either. I've been asking all over the place the same
question, so hopefully someone knows.
