Video Folder Disappeared

I had afolder containing various videos. The file was private (hidden) from
others opening it. I attempted to move the folder from its existing location
to a new and it disapeared off the screen. Also before I did this, the only
way for me to find and open this file was by searching for it. Any ideas of
what I did???

If you type "shell:my video" (without quotation marks) in the Start Menu's
Start Search box, and then click on the result of that search, does that
open your Video folder? Note the path (location) in the address bar of the
Explorer window that pops up.

I tried this, but it sent me to my picture files, not the one I'm looking
for. Thanks for the suggestion.

It appears that your shell folders are a bit messed up, registry-wise. The
command shell:my video should open a folder called Videos. What opens when
you type shell:my pictures? It should open a folder called Pictures.

Were the videos stored originally in one of the special folders under
C:\Users\(you Name)? When you moved the folder, how did you move it? By
Cut and Paste, Drag and Drop, or using the Location tab of the folders
Properties? Was the move to a different drive, or to a different path on
the same drive?

In Control Panel > Folder Options, on the View tab, if it's not chosen
already, choose to "Show hidden files and folders". The folder could be on
your Desktop, for example, or inside another one of your special folders.
