Video Files in Powerpoint

I have inserted two videos into a presentation, with a black slide in between to pause the playing. However, when the first video finishes, the presentation will not move to the black slide and then to the next video. If I click the mouse, it starts the first video over again. Any suggestions. The first video is not looped or selected to rewind at completion
