Kiosk mode, video, slide advance problem

Office 2003 and 2007.

This is driving me crazy. I have two videos, wmv's, that I want to
loop. Using one video per slide, I have two slides. I embed the
videos, set to play automatically, set slide advance to 1 second. In
setting up the show, I have it set to kiosk and to use timings if
present.

The show plays through as expected the first time through; however,
the second time through, the slides just sit there waiting for me to
click to start the video.

I thought maybe it was an issue with "rewinding," so I experimented
with that setting, but it seemed to have no effect.

Any ideas?

Create another slide as the first slide, decorate to match your current
first slide, set its transition time to automatic after "0" seconds. This
forces PPT to "reset" any animations (video playing is an animation) in the
next slide.

Should do the trick.
