video codecs

not the right place to post, but i'm sure someone will be able to help me.
where can i get the latest video and audio codes? (VidX, DivX etc) would
like to play avi and mpeg files, and also the mpeg4 if possible using win
media 9

any help would be appreciated.

you could try downloading divx bundle from download.com.
just go to the website, search for divx, it should be the
first search result.
