Hi
I've saved all my video clips on an "external HDD" with compression. After
reformatting my PC I copied & paste the video clips back on my c drive. After
copying in windows explorer I clicked on VIEW,thumbnails but It shows only
the icons and not the thumbnails as it used to. Can anybody HELP me Please

Try this

Start | Run <type in>
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
<enter>

This registers the DLL that is responsible for viewing thumbnails.

Hi Fritz,

Two questions:

1. What's the file type?
2. Do you have the appropriate codecs installed so as to play the file in
WMP?

Hi Ramesh
The file type is: Windows Media Audio/Video file
This files play in MMP no problem

Out of all the Windows Media Audio/Video files I've in this folder only 1
shows in thumbnail.
regards Fritz

Fritz,

Umm. If one of them displays the thumbnail image, then it's not a thumbnail
extractor problem (as I previously thought). Must be related to codecs.
