when I insert a vidoe file in the ppt the ppt acually does not save the video
in it, it simply adds a link to where the video is, the problem is when I
copy my presntation to a CD and even if I add the video file on the same CD,
the link is not updated, resulting that the video does not work, on the other
hand if I want to update the link after I put the presentation on CD I
couldn't because it will become read only.

Copy the video clip into the same folder as your presentation before you insert
it. Then make sure that it is also copied to the CD. Everything should work OK
after that.

Video is always linked to PPT, it's not embedded. Put the video in the same
folder with your presentation *before* you insert it into the presentation.
Then burn the video and the PPT file to the CD.

My two cents. .. Mike and Echo are right but another way of saying it .. if i
my... Put the ppt and video clips in the same folder and burn the folder to
you cd.. this keeps all links in tact and you don't have worry if you have
every thing......

Echo, Mike and Bill are right but I have another way of saying it too.
Make sure the video is in the same folder as the PPT before you insert the
clip and then burn both to CD.
