Adding Video Clips to PPT 2007

My computer was updated with 2007 ppt and I am no longer able to add in video
clips to ppt and older 2003 ppt presentations now play sound only or just
first frame of video and sound.

Am using wmv files as I have done hundreds of times in the past but with new
upgrade cannot even get the files added into a slide. Everytime I try...they
hand my computer up and must go in and end task.

Loved the 03 version...was so easy to use. Can anyone help...
