video cature card not working

i finally got wmm to work on my mce2005 sp2 system and when i launch the
video capture part of the program a get an error message "this device is not
responding please close any other application that is using the device and
try capturing again" i don't think any other program is using the device. i
tried intervideo create win dvd and the device works with this software.
please let me know if there is a fix for this thanks.

MM does not work well with analogue capture, use the intervideo app whch was
designed to do this job.
