Video Card Voltage

Asus P4S8X Motherboard latest bios
Asus 9600xt Video Card latest drivers
Win XP fully updated
400w power supply
3 hard drivers
2 cd rom drivers

According to the video card monitoring software, ASUS SmartDoctor, the VGA
chipset isn't supplied with stablized voltage. the Vcore alarm is set for
1.6 +/- .24v and the actual reading is 1.28v. In the BIOS, All of the
settings in the BIOS are set to auto. Is this problem damaging the video
card? and how can this be fixed? I have never seen this before and just has
me guessing. Even when I only have 1 hard drive powered I still get this
problem. I'm not getting any frame rate losses. Just kinda curious really.

I can't say much for Asus's tech support. I have a ticket open with them for
almost a month now. Kind of sad

thanks

Do you have a 'cheap' power supply? If so it may be putting out poorly
regulated voltage, and no where near 400Watts into a real world load. If
so, you may want to upgrade to a quality power supply.
