Video Card Problems

I have a NVIDID TNT 2 64 Pro and have had it working fine
on XP, I have added a 17" Acer LCD monitor and now the
video adapter will not start? I have uninstalled &
reinstalled, however it does not appear to be the display
adapter running?
Any help would be appreciated...
 
Hit F8 at startup then go safe mode.
Go system hardware device manager and uninstall both monitor and display
adaptor.
Ensure no duplications exist.
Reboot and XP should auto install proper devices.
If not, back to safe mode and update driver to proper devices.
