Video Backgrounds in PowerPoint

I would like to encorporate full motion DVD video as a PowerPoint background
and have text boxes in the foreground. Is this possible? If so, how?

Any ideas are welcome!

No, not possible. Video always plays on top and will obscure your text. The
work around would be to use video editing software and incorporate the text into
the footage, but this requires a lot of work and skill.

Nope. Video always plays in the foreground on PowerPoint. The only thing
you can use for a motion background is an animated .gif

There is another alternative to costly video editing software - as an
alternative to Powerpoint, consider something like Opus Pro - you can place
objects and text over the top of running video in that package. Whether or
not it would be successful over DVD I don't know - I haven't yet had to
explore that avenue.
