No, PPT 2007 doesn't support this either.
You can use Chirag Dalal's Transparent Show and PowerShow
http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/tips_text_over_video.html
Or Instant Effects Office FX Pro http://www.instanteffects.com/
Or Crystal Graphics Power Plugs Video Background Player (I can't find
this on the CG site anymore, though! )
http://www.animationsforvideo.com/html/powerpoint__video_backgrounds.htm
(This text calls it "digital hotcakes power plugs," even though the
screenshot of the CD case still says Crystal Graphics. Hm. CG must have
sold the product.)

If MS is monitoring this, YOUR USERS WANT THIS FEATURE !
If digital hotcakes power plugs can author this feature, why can't Microsoft
? I say include it in Office 2007 and keep it open for VBA manipulation...
Thanks !

Microsoft
has not addressed this problem. We just purchased Easy Worship at our
church
along with over 500 motion backgrounds. We need desperately to be able to
run
text in front of the backgrounds (words to the songs). With this being
such a
popular program in churches I am suprised Microsoft hasn't done their
homework.

TAJ Simmons said:Sue,
I'm confused. Are you wanting to use the software 'easy worship' with
motion backgrounds
or are you wanting to use powerpoint with motion backgrounds?
As according to the easy worship website....
===
Does EasyWorship support video backgrounds? What video formats are
supported?
EasyWorship can display moving video backgrounds with text overlay.
EasyWorship comes with 100 backgrounds, 21 of which are video looping
backgrounds. To display a song with a video background, simply select a
song, select a video background and click Go Live. You can also assign a
video background to a song in the database. EasyWorship will play any
media format that Windows Media Player supports, including MPEG 1, MPEG 2,
WMF and AVI. (The next version of EasyWorship will add .mov, Flash and
.vob formats.)
