my computer is 88% free and i don't need to defragment. Just recently i tried
to listen to music with media player and it was slow and sluggish. I tried to
watch a movie with a different program and it reacts the same way....what is
going on? how do i stop this?

88% free has nothing to do with file fragmentation,my pc has 97% free on
RAID and it needs defrag almost daily....Go to run, type:cmd In cmd type:
CLEANMGR Clean up C: After type:Defrag C: Then type:CHKDSK C: /F
Agree to restart,type:EXIT Restart computer.

More nonsense from Andrew E., our resident troll. What 88% free means is
whatever he means by it. It's not possible to tell from his message. He
might mean 88% free RAM, 88% free disk space, or 88% free of fragmentation.
Or maybe somethiong else. Your guess as to what it means *may* be right, but
it's foolhardy to simply state it as if you *know* that's right. That's the
way people get misled.

And nobody needs to defragment anywhere near almost daily. If you think you
do, it's just another testament to your incompetence.

Gundam1979, these days sluggish computers are most often the result of
spyware infestation. I recommend that you go to Malke's Malware Removal site
at
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware and follow
the instructions there.

If that doesn't fix the problem, post back for other suggestions.
