Video and audio sync

I am trying to trim a clip, but when I do in the timeline, the original audio
doesn't get trimmed, so they are out of sync. How do I trim clips so video
and audio stay in sync?

If the audio you refer to is embedded in the
video file and shows in the timeline on the
"Audio" track...it should be clipped in the
same place as the video.

If the audio is on the "Audio/Music" track and
was dragged to the timeline as a separate
file...it will not be clipped unless you specifically
select it and split it also.
