Very wide page

I designed and have one website. The pages
are normal width, and at 800 X 600 there is no
scrollbar across the bottom.
I am designing a second website and the first
page I designed is OK, but the second page is
4300 pixels wide! It was a new normal page, the
tables are 600 pixels wide, just like my other
pages. It views OK, but there is empty page that
goes on and on to the right. What did I do wrong,
and how do I make the page normal width
without the scrollbar on the bottom? I can't find
anything in my reference books about setting
page width.

I fixed it myself. I checked my tables and
found that one of them had "percent"
checked,instead of "pixels".
