Very simple question (I think) - Copy file

I need to replace one of the file in <system32
\drivers\etc>. Don't worry, I know what I am doing, and
have already done it in another PC.
In the current PC (win2000 prof), I can't copy the file.
I believe that something in the configuration in this
directory which I need to change. Your help please!

Try replacing the file after you boot into safe mode.

Check the permissions on the folder and make sure your account has full
control.
