Very Silly Question

I hate to ask this, but I cannot figure out the problem.....When creating a
report, my queries are available when using the report wizard but not when
using Report Design. So, I am having to take the extra step of turning my
query into a table to access the needed information.

Have I done something wrong?

CC,

Just to make sure of the nature of the problem... If you open a report in
Design view, look at the Properties for the report, and click the drop-down
list in the Record Source property, you can't see some of the queries in
your database?

Well, I knew it was a silly question and it's late in the day.....I expected
them to be listed in the Field List with my other tables.....

Thanks for the wake up.

There is *NO* such thing as a silly question. Ok, a few people we
privately think are idiots but don't be shy. Please do ask.

And every once in a while I see something in the newsgroups and I say
to myself "I didn't know that."

Tables are not listed in the field list, which is the listing of fields in a
report's or form's record source. Rather, then are listed as the selections
in the Record Source property. Perhaps it's just a matter of terminology,
but unless you have listed table names in a table (or are using one of the
system tables as a record source, I suppose) you will not see them in a
field list.
