very odd dfrgfat.exe error after computer is imaged

These computers are being imaged with a XP SP1a
slipstreamed cd...the file checksums are right, but here's
the error whenver you start disk defrag:

The instruction "0x77f580db" referenced memory
at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written". Click
ok to terminate the program.

The error happens 3 times, then hangs the program for a
bit (2 at 0x00000000 and 1 at 0x00000011).

So far, the best I've done is pull out all the defrag
components -- it used to try to run in the background,
which would randomly pop up errors like that on the user's
screen, but I'd like to continue to use the utility. I've
tried copying the files from the cd to the dir, and same
error. Any ideas?

Try booting to xp cd,recovery, press enter for password, then type
CHKDSK C: /R When thru type:EXIT Remove xp cd,let it restart,o
desktop,go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:Defrag C:
