Very LARGE Message Stuck In Outbox

P

Paul Nations

I foolishly tried to send an email with numerous mp3 attachments, 97 MB.
The email has been in my Outbox for a week now. I got a message from the
recips ISP that it was too big for his mailbox. I tried to delete it from
my Outbox, but nothing happens. I try to open it and get a message that
Outlook has already begun to send it. But, the next day it's still there.
I've tried moving it to other folders, but get the same message.

Now, it's blocking me from sending regular email.

How can I bruteforce delete this message?

That did it. Thanks so much. I was afraid I'd have to Uninstall |
Reinstall Office 2003

Thanks.

Place Outlook offline (File-> Work Offline) and restart Outlook. You
should now be able to delete it. Don't forget to put Outlook back on-line!

Tips of the month:
-What do the Outlook Icons Mean?
-Create an Office 2003 CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 1

You're welcome! :)

Note that an uninstall/reinstall wouldn't have lead to anything as the
information is kept in the data file and not in the program files ;-)

Create a new pst and then drag and drop the contests of the other folder's
to the new pst. Then make that pst the new default location

Just take Outlook offline. Then go to the outbox and delete the message. No
need to re-create the .pst file or anything so extreme.
