I updated my Windows XP and restarted and now have a pink
vertical line splitting the center of my screen at all
times. Anyone see this and have a solution?

Okay - that's messed up.

Try downloading the drivers for your video card from the manufacturer and
installing them instead of whatever you have now. For example, NVidia just
released a new driver for their chipset at http://www.nvidia.com/ that are
well worth a download/install if you have an NVidia Chipset video card.

Also, just try changing your resolution/refresh rate. If you are unsure how
to do this, get familiar with the built in Help and Support and search for
the phrases I just mentioned.
