I feel embarressed I had to type in vers. or something somewhere in Vista
and a little box appeared with all the details. I tried "run' but it does
not work there. Please help.

f ya mean the windows version; it's winver.exe in a command prompt; or open
start type in winver in the start search bar in the start menu and click on
winver.exe that pops up at the top of the start menu

Remember, it must be type in the Run Command. Click Start > All Programs >
Accessories > Run

type WINVER hit enter on the keyboard.

You can use the windows key + r command for the Run window to quickly
appear.

Vista RTM will expire either May 31st or June 1st 2007.
