No - You cannot embed fonts in PPT X for the Mac.
That said, this newsgroup tends to be populated with PC people. You might
want to look into the Mac group. Find it's link in this PPT FAQ entry:

Unfortunately, you can't. You can't embed them into a PPT on the Mac and if
you do embed them on a Windows computer, you can't use the embedded fonts on a
Mac.
If you need to retain text formatting that uses a specific font, you might try
converting to PDF (which you can do via the Print dialog)
