Version 6 Service Pack 1 - turning off audio

J

Judydu

Hi. I am a teacher who is computer literate but am desperately having
trouble with audio. I have changed audio levels on the slider to minimum as
I do not want to have any sound on the video at all. My problem is that I
can still hear the audio on the movie. Can some kind soul walk me through
the building movie sequence so that I can eliminate the sound. I would be
very grateful and so would all the children in my class. (Yes I have thought
about turning the volume off!!)

kind regards,

Judydu

Dear John,

Thank you for your kind assistance. I really appreciate it. I have been
doing just that and after trying your suggestion once again I have discovered
a collapsible box that said "video". This gave me another audio choice and
then I chose mute. Thanks once again. I really appreciate your help!

In a related scenario, I've muted the sound on the video and want to add an
mp3 under the video. When I click on the mp3 in the import box it plays just
fine. When I drag it to the audo/music line I get no sound. I've also tried
this with a clip of silent video that doesn't have to be muted. I get no
audio either.

Can you help? Thanks.

I want to add that I converted the mp3 to a wma file after reading some stuff
here. Still no sound.

Is it? It's been ages since I opened a virgin copy of MM, but I know that it
opens up the way it was left, so if there was expanded timeline it opens
next as expanded, but if it was collapsed it opens as collapsed.
