Version 2.6?

I have a program that will not function correctly because it says I need MDAC
version 2.6 or higher. I have Access 2000 currently. Which versions are 2.6
(or higher)? I haven't found any reference to a version 2.6...

Is MDAC the same as the program Microsoft Access?
 
No. MDAC is "Microsoft Data Access Components" which I prefer to think as
part of the OS. Access may use some of the above components but Access has
other objects, e.g. Forms, Reports, ... on its own.
