Verify cal's

Do you need a paper certificate to verify the number of cals? I am not
referring to terminal server cal's, just cals for the server users. I have
a Windows 2000 Advanced Server with (supposedly 25 cals) and the product
key.

My question is how do I verify I have the cals? I thought you have a paper
license to verify.

You're supposed to have paper for this. Check your purchase history with
whomever sold you the product.
