Now I see why Newegg is so well recommended.
I purchased a 4gig SD card for my camera...but it turns out the camera
supports only 2gig.
For a small restock fee Newegg took it back. They issued and RMA within
seconds...
no hassle at all!
Yep they are pretty darn good.

Yes they do have pretty good customer service. Every now
and then I read of someone who had terrible service and it
seems a mystery because what they describe doesn't jive with
the experiences I and many others have had. One of the
other nice things about newegg is their goal to deliver
everything within 3 working days even if/when that isn't
guaranteed.

They emailed me yesterday to tell me my credit will be issued within 3 days.
Considering the mistake was 100% my own...I am quite impressed.

I still like them. They sent me an invitation a while ago to
participate in a marketing focus group for 50 bucks but it was in
Marina Del Rey, calif so being in Hawaii it was kind of far for me.

There are some people who grumble about them nowadays though. They
adopted that weird pricing mechanism that seems to almost instantly
gauge supply and demand and lower and raise prices , mostly raise
nowadays. So people grumble that their prices are much worse than
before and the prices fluctuate like crazy. I noticed very early when
I tried to buy my nforce board and a few processors last year. The
price would swing crazily from day to day and you would see oldie
moldie processors being phased out which usually go down in price
severely ---- going UP cause of lack of supply relative to demand.

Shipping is also high to where Im at and has gone up the last few
years. But its high everywhere.

I was trying to buy Beyond TV from Outpost -- box of software for 20
bucks after rebate. The shipping was 17 bucks for a box of software !
