Veiwing Video Problems

Hello all,

My brother has been sending videos of his new daughter from his Canon
Digital Camera. These videos come up named MVI_0893. They are pretty large
and he sends them using Usendit.com. The videos download easily, but when I
slide my cursor arrow over the icons (without pushing a button) I get a
slight freeze and then a prompt comes up. It states Data Execution Problem -
M Windows

When I close the message, my entire computer sort of resets and (no programs
shut down). All is well, except I can not run the videos. I have difficulty
even throwing the files away, since I can not touch them.

My digital camera is a Kodak and runs on Quicktime. These videos are fine
when I play them and when I send them to my bro. The videos he sends can be
opened with QUicktime, just as long as I open them using the open file option
in Quicktime. Once opened with QUicktime, I can go to the properties and
click on the option to make them safe. This does not help with the closing
when I touch the icon with the cursor.

Suggestions?
Thanks for the help.

Check the Data Execution Preventation properties under the System Properties
by Right Click on My Computer then Choose Properties. Click Advance then
click Settings under Performance tab.

Try changing the settings to default as "Turn on DEP for essential Windows
programs...."

or remove a program from the list below.

Hey there,
When I get to the performance options, it is on Turn on DEP for essential
Win Programs... There is nothing below in the ADD space.
When I select Turn on DEP for all programs... except... there is only
windows explorer with an empty box to check. What do I do?
Thanks for writing back to quickly
