vbscript Issues

I am running Windows XP, Media Center Edition, Version 2002 Service Pack 3 -
Pentium 4 3.2 GHZ 1 gb of Ram
I am having issues with multiple programs - including internet explorer -
encountering module issues and shutting down
I have read multiple forum posts about reregistering .dll files and the
vbscript.dll will not regesister.
I have reinstalled IE8, windows script 5.6, used windows update, run anit
malware, spyware, virus programs (Malwarebytes', SuperAnispyware, avast!
anivirus)
and nothing seems to work.
Also the send error report window now appears when this happens and it did
not before - what caused this to start as well.

Tried a repair installation of Windows?

I'd integrate SP3 into your installation media before you do it - but it
could be some corruption in a file or two and that could remedy the
situation.

Of course - it could be bad hardware.

It sounds like you are just trying things. You need to be figuring
things out and fixing things.

Please describe the "module issues" in more detail - exact working if
possible.

Same for PCPitstop Optimize and RegistryBooster.

Have you considered the strong possibility that "RegistryBooster" could, in
fact, be a registry killer? You might find that most respondents in this
newsgroup are highly critical of registry cleaners/boosters, with good
reason. These programs tend to make a lot of noise about "bad" things they
find in the registry but in the many posts I have seen nobody has ever
posted a formal test that someone else could repeat in order to demonstrate
that registry cleaners/boosters improve a PC's operation. On the other hand
there have been many posts (like yours) showing that registry
cleaners/boosters can cause Windows to malfunction.

.Well I ran the Registry Booster to try and fix the issues I was having - but that did not help. The Problem was present before the registry booster was installed.

My Computer was passed on to me and I do not have the Windows CD to try a
reinstallment.
