vbscript is missing after Ipod rel.7 downloaded

After puchasing a new ipod for Christamas and plugging into my PC. A screen
meassage informed me that the ipod could not run with the current version of
Itunes software. I tried to update the Itunes to release 7, the progarm
appears to download ok but when I try to run it an error screen appears and
indicates the following:

vbscript is missing or disabled, check virus software and firewall, enable
vbscript, re-register. I have checked that vbscript.dll is on my computer
and it is there.

Does anyone know anything about the above.

I have that same problem. I didn't have that problem until I loaded Windows
Vista on my machine.
