vb6 ide crash opening forms

Hi

Sorry for cross posting but didn't see this group earlier...

I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right
direction.

I have a number of applications written in vb6. Two of the apps are
still in development and so I have sat down today to continue working
on them but have discovered I have a real big problem.


The VB6 IDE crashes when you double click on the Form name to see the
forms appearance. You can view code but not the form.


I have tried the same thing on all exisiting vb6 apps I have
developed
and they all seem to do the same thing.


It also crashes if you try to build a .exe


I have also tried creating a new application. I started of with a
std
vb6 application with no controls on the form. Saved the project,
then
quit the ide, then re-opened and all was good. I then added a label
control to the form, saved the project and it then tried to quit the
ide when it crashed ?


Has anyone experienced problems like this ?


The very last thing i did when it last worked on it an all was good
was rebuild and test an installshiled installer I have for one of
the
applications.


I guess that could have messed something up ? un installed an .ocx
or
something ????


Any help would be appreciated.....
