Vb5 Question

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 computer with windows XP Pro installed. The
computer also has Vb6 installed (was on computer when purchased new). A
data backup program that I want to use requires Vb5 to be installed. If I
install Vb5, will this overwrite the Vb6 files or cause any conflicts if
both programs are on the computer together?? Thanks for any help, Sam.
 
Most probably you don't need VB5 (which is a COMPILER), but VB5 runtime
files.
If that's true, installation of VB5 runtime won't cause any problems.
 
Thanks very much for your reply. Sorry for the incomplete information!! It
is the VB5 runtime program that is required for the Save-It data backup
program. Thanks again, Sam.
