Missing Class ID in Registry

Installed VB5 and tried to run aprogram I had written in the past. Error
occurred stating the Class ID for the Data control was not in the registry. I
know this is not a normal problem with VB5 in XP as I had installed this same
VB5 on my computer at work and it worked fine. Reinstlled program twice (same
result).VB5 CD in excellent condition, no scratches etc. I have the necessary
Class ID number. It was listed in the error message from VB. Could I fix this
problem by adding a new key with regedit? If so what selection should I use
from the new dropdown in regedit?

Found answer to problem. Found a separate install for DAO3.5 on the VB disk,
ran it asn it said a newer version was installed. I looked in registry and
sure enough DAO3.51 had suddenly appeared. I tried my program but it now had
an error indicating a newer version was installed and would not work. I went
back to VB install disk and installed the older version and now all works.
