VB.Net books Recommended for self study books

Hi,
I am currently using Visual Basic.Net "How to Program" by Deitel, Deitel and
Nieto.
Initially, going trough it at a rapid pace, skipping most exercises, did not
give me enough footing. Trying to do most exercises works best, but most
exercises have no answers on the accompanying CD, which is very frustrating
and slows me down too much.
I am self-studying and thus cannot easily ask quick questions to co-students.
Any advise on which books would be better?

best books were in my opinion

1 the complete MCSD self paced training kit ( if you are serious
leraning it is a must have )
also handy if you later decide to learn some C# as it covers this as
well

2 and as a reference you need ( must have for every serious VB programmer )
Programming Microsoft Visual Basic form Francesco Balena , this is the
official ms press core reference and is verry well written

i have become such a big fan of the balena book since vb6 , that i have the
VB6 version the 2000 version ( i skipped the 2003 ) and in the end of
january the 2005 version ( pre ordered at amazon ) .

these books are really value for money


with these 2 you have everything you need to become a "good" VB.Net coder

Michel,
Yes, I want (and need) to go on with C# and later C++, but do not want to
chew off too much too fast and want to get the VB.Net down first!
Does the MCSD kit include questions and excercise sections with every
chapter and does it provide answers with full workouts for all excercises?
For me (doing this alone) it is very important to have the latter.
