Thought I would let everyone know that Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition is now available for download:
FREE............
Until I can get Visual Studio 2005 PRO ( or maybe even Standard Edition) this will at least keep me going!
Here's the link for those interested:

Yes, I am registered for the event in Dallas on Nov. 30th. I had read in the details about the event that they would be giving
away SQL Server 2005 & Visual Studio 2005 Standard Editon free. And I am looking forward to attending the launch event . Not
just for the free software , although as you say, it's a nice present. I was just a bit excited about getting a copy of Visual
Basic 2005 Express Edition for free!
(as I said, gives me something to play with until I get Visual Studio)
Sounds like the launch event will be fun.

Re-read the page again Ken. It's free for the first year, as in they won't be charging for it for a full year.
Not that it will stop working after a year unless you buy it. I even got a newsletter a few minutes ago
giving the same information. Once it has been out a year, they will start charging $49.00 a copy to download it or get it from
other sources.
