Varying pallettes

I have noticed when moving between spreadsheets that background / text
colour palettes are sometimes different. This is a problem because I like to
use a specific colour for certain things throughout the various
spreadsheets.

Does anyone know why this occurs and, more importantly if there is a fix?

Color palettes are workbook specific. You can revert to the default
palette (or copy a palette from another open workbook) using the
Tools/Options/Color dialog.
