various windows open full screen

some, and I emphasize, SOME windows won't remember the size they were when
closed.
Even though I close them properly, sometimes they open full screen and have
to be resized.
I've used the ctrl+exit/close from the file menu keystroke and that
sometimes works...but only for a while.
Then the symptom reoccurs.

For instance.

the above url will open to the size I closed it, and split second jumps to
full screen even though the contents don't cover the screen.

My WeatherLink5.8 program....sometimes opens to a full screen and I can't
resize it. Grabbing a handle won't work.
I have to close xp/media and restart.

Anybody have a clue to fix this?

size the window the way you want, and hold the shift key when you are closing
the window with the mouse...do this for all windows you need

I miswrote 'ctrl-exit' when I meant shift-exit.
No go....it still opens to the size I want, and then pops to a larger
window.

Before closing the resized window make sure all other windows for that
program are closed.

Some programs, however, have their own idea about what the proper size is,
thanks to a dictatorial programming team. What program is causing you
trouble?
