Various windows application locking up

Hello,

I need some advice with troubleshooting an issue with a client pc. The
basic problem is with different applications locking up. The various
applications are word, wordperfect, IE, you name it, it locks up. However,
the OS itself seem to run fairly well. Nothing show up of significant in the
event logs. I've tried just about everything one could think of with no luck
with solving the problem. I know I'm probably not giving you enough
information so ask your questions or if you have any suggestions, that would
be good as well.

Thanks,

OP

Since I don't know what "tried just about everything" entails, I don't
know if you tested the RAM. If not, I would do that with Memtest86+ from
www.memtest.org. Also check for overheating.

Click Start, Run, type SFC /SCANNOW, click OK. If any files are damaged
or missing, they'll be replaced. You may need to reboot afterwards so
damaged files will be replaced.
